Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories
Here's to making loads of warm memories over President's Day Weekend with my sista, Christine.

New York is renown for it's tasty cuisine and this trip was certainly a happy one for my tummy. We Tea'd off the weekend at Alice's Tea Cup for a lovely brunch with my dear old friend Jane who, coincidentally, happens to now work with my sister--small world! If you ever have the chance to go, this place has amazing teas and scones (not to mention adorable decor and tea-party kid customers!)

We also caught a matinée at the New York Ballet of 20th Century Masters. The dancers were spectacularly graceful and I loved the variety of styles shown in the 3 works performed by composers Stravinsky, Ravel, and Bernstein (West Side Story!). The theatre was beautiful as well.

Enjoying dessert after a beautiful luncheon at Central Park's famous Boathouse restaurant (we were trying to list how many movies this place is in--mostly chick flicks: Bride Wars, 27 dresses, the list goes on)

Surprise! This exhibit at the Met was bite-y: this was a real shark in formaldehyde. Cool stuff, always a pleasure to browse the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Yes we did: Bliss has been calling my name for months and after I threw my back out earlier in the week, it was a good thing I'd booked a massage while in NYC. Christine and I pampered ourselves at the spa, scented with my favorite Lemon & Sage lotions, steam room, and peraphin wax + massage.

All in all, my 2-0-0-9 trip to NYC was a fabulous mix of relaxing and fun. Hell Yes! :)
